Wedding Planning Guide
Catalyst by Nature Link is one of the newest wedding venues in the Brainerd Lakes Area, built directly on the shore of Clark Lake in Nisswa. The modern lakeside design, floor-to-ceiling windows, and on-site lodging make this a different kind of planning conversation than a traditional barn venue: this is a venue built around the water and the view, and the timeline should be too.
Golden hour on Clark Lake is hard to beat, especially down at the dock and along the lakeside patio, and we build the ceremony and portrait timeline around it whenever the day allows. The reception space's floor-to-ceiling windows give us a strong backup for detail shots once the sun goes down, so the photography doesn't stop when the light does.
Catalyst by Nature Link gives each side of the wedding party its own private getting-ready suite, each with windows and patio or deck access. That means we can shoot both getting-ready timelines in parallel rather than back-to-back, worth building into the day-of schedule especially for a larger wedding party.
With 21 luxury cabins and 25 lodging units in total, plus trails, lake access, and a sauna, out-of-town guests and the wedding party can stay right on the property for the whole weekend. Like Stone Hill Farm, that opens up relaxed, no-rush morning-of photos without anyone driving in, worth planning around if your guest list is coming from outside the Brainerd Lakes area.
